Amanda Sidebottom, soprano
Soprano Amanda Sidebottom loves to tell a story through song. A graduate of the Historical Performance Institute at Indiana University, she has enjoyed collaborations with period chamber ensembles Brooklyn Baroque, Soul's Delight, and Queen's Consort.
As half of the duo Well-Tuned Words with lutenist Erik Ryding, she toured in the U.S. and Europe and recorded Great Wonder, an album of songs by Dowland, Danyel, and Campion. Other highlights include touring Ireland with Gare St. Lazare Players in their acclaimed theatre work Here All Night, based on the words and music of Samuel Beckett, and recording two well-regarded albums with treble-voice ensemble Etherea. A recent transplant from New York City to Santa Fe, New Mexico, she is the operations director for the Santa Fe Desert Chorale and can be spotted most weekends attempting to expand her lung capacity on its many, picturesque hiking trails.
